Chicago criminal trial lawyer James I. Marcus had a distinguished career as a state and federal prosecutor before turning to private criminal defense in 1982. A 1970 graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, he's an Illinois SuperLawyer. Early in his career, he served in the prestigious Honors Program of the U.S. Justice Department, and also served repeatedly as a Special Prosecutor in difficult federal grand jury investigations as well as prosecutions. He now applies his understanding of grand jury proceedings for the benefit of his criminal defense clients.
Mr. Marcus has served as a legal commentator for the Canadian Broadcast Company as has appeared on local broadcast stations on several occasions.
